Indonesia Has Three Represents in the Malaysian Open semis



News Update, SHAH ALAM - Indonesian mixed doubles, Tontowi Ahmad / Liliyana Natsir advance to the semifinals at the Malaysia Open. Both defeated the British representative, Chris Adcock / Gabrielle Adcock straight sets 21-17 and 21-14.

Tontowi / Liliyana qualify for the semifinal match at Malawati Stadium, Shah Alam, on Friday (08/04/2016) local time. Tontowi / Liliyana finish the game within 35 minutes.

In the first game Tontowi / Liliyana appear to dominate. However, his opponent tried to rise up tight score was 12-13. Red and White team then bounced back and managed to get away again to lock the victory in the first game.

In the second set, Tontowi / Liliyana proceeded to collect points. As a result they ended the match with a score of 21-14.

On the victory, Tontowi / Liliyana will meet sixth-seeded Denmark, Joachim Fischer Nielsen / Christinna Pedersen, in the semifinals. Nielsen / Pedersen escaped after beating Ko Sung Hyun / Kim Ha Na (South Korea) with a score of 14-21, 21-18, 21-7.

Escape of Tontowi / Liliyana make Indonesia has three representatives in the last four at the Malaysia Open 2016. Single son, Jonathan Christie became the first to qualify, followed by the women's doubles, Greysia Polii / Nitya Maheswari Krishinda.(n/u)
